Floating Support Worker

STAY at Home, part of the STAY Multiple Needs Service provides housing-related support for people with multiple or complex needs who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

As a floating Support Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload and providing appropriate support to clients based on needs and risk assessing and support planning.  You will assist clients in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation,  supporting and encourage them to develop skills and gain confidence to enable them to live independently and  sustain permanent housing.

You will have experience of working with vulnerable people including those with drug and/or alcohol problems, mental health issues and/or tenancy related problems.  You will also have experience of completing client and risk assessments and support planning.   You will have knowledge of the welfare benefits system and an awareness of agencies available to clients in the statutory and voluntary sector

You must have a valid driving license and use of vehicle for business use.
