Activity and Support Coordinator

The Activity and Support Coordinator is a new role developed by Yorkshire and Humberside Asbestos Victims Support Group (SARAG) to; support the implementation of SARAG’s strategic plan and develop a range of services and support for individuals and families affected by exposure to asbestos.  

This integrated and proactive approach to service delivery will help ensure clients receive the most appropriate service when and where they need it.  

This post will provide effective and efficient support with a focus on integrated services, friendship, face-to-face and telephone support to enable increased social connections and reduced isolation for individuals and families affected by asbestos.  

The Activity and Support Coordinator will empower clients to make informed choices about their health and to act on them.  

The Activity and Support Coordinator will be a local point of contact providing psychosocial support and information to individuals and their families with an asbestos related health condition.  

This is a non-clinical role requiring close liaison and referral with other groups within the community.

If appointed a standard DBS check will be required prior to employment commencing.
