Job Purpose

We are looking for an effective leader with extensive managerial experience to manage our Haven crisis service. The post holder will need to ensure that the team delivers in line with The Cellar Trust purpose, strategic plan and values, as well as delivering on agreed service outcomes.

In addition to managing Haven (part of Bradford’s award-winning crisis care pathway), the role also includes taking a lead on a range of new projects and developments which are planned to enhance our work in the areas of crisis and specialist support. Our work has a local and national reputation and this is your opportunity to help shape our future delivery and really make a difference.

In addition to strong leadership skills we are looking for someone with a solid track record in mental health and an appetite to learn and develop. Ideally you will have experience working with people in crisis or with specialist support needs. A passion for supporting and empowering others is essential.

At the heart of all of our crisis and complex care delivery is the value of lived expertise. Therefore, we would welcome applications from people with their own lived experience who can use this to help us continue to develop and enhance our service provision.

This will be a varied and exciting role which will require you to manage a busy workload and the demands of leading a team, alongside working strategically to build relationships with colleagues within and outside of the organisation. You will be highly motivated, proactive, resourceful and have a positive attitude with a flexible approach.

Job Location – COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most staff are working from home with most services and functions continuing as normal. However, Haven, our crisis service, is still offering some face to face appointments. We are unclear at this stage when we will be able to resume normal operations and have more staff on site. Therefore, it is likely you will be required to work from the office for most of the time, with some working from home. Induction and Training will be in person, via telephone, email and video calls. Therefore, you will need to have a suitable space to work at home, with access to the internet and the ability to make confidential calls and attend virtual meetings. You will be provided with all equipment necessary to do this.
