Alumni and Development Data Coordinator

The University of Bradford's Alumni and Development team delivers a programme of communications, events, and activities to help students get the most from our global network of more than 145,000 alumni (graduates) and donors. We generate opportunities for alumni, friends and supporters to stay involved with the University, and encourage philanthropic support for charitable projects across campus.

As we strive towards delivering an ambitious and exciting engagement and philanthropic strategy, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and highly organised individual with a natural appetite for methodical problem-solving and a passion for data management to help shape a critical role that will contribute to the team's ongoing development and success.

Working at the heart of the small and busy team, you will be specifically responsible for the day-to-day running and administration of the ThankQ database, leading on many aspects of data management and related processes. Possessing experience of working with CRM databases, (ideally in a Higher Education or Charity/Philanthropic setting - though not essential), you will be comfortable extracting, interrogating, and reporting on data to help inform strategy, always looking for ways to use and improve your skills and experience to make an impact.

The role will provide financial and general administrative support for the team with respect to day-to-day activities, including monitoring budgets and processing expenses, purchasing and general financial admin including donations. The role will also support alumni and development events and key volunteering projects.

Never happier than working with data, armed with a can-do attitude and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of the role, you will be a highly organised individual with a passion for maximising efficiency and enabling, training, and supporting others. A reliable team player, you will have the proven ability and confidence to work on your own initiative and to review and implement new ways of working. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to remain agile and adaptable to a constantly changing environment to provide the highest levels of customer service and support.

Experience and awareness of alumni engagement and fundraising in an educational setting is a plus but above all, we are looking for a candidate with the right skills, and a desire to apply them, to enhance engagement and services for alumni and supporters of the University. The detailed job description provides information about the main duties and the specific criteria for the role. If you think you are the right person for such an active role and have the skills and experience, we are looking for, then we would love to hear from you.
