Community Engagement & Activities Facilitator

Keighley Healthy Living is a vibrant charity with a small, motivated team who are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives.

Our mission is to improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation across Keighley. We do this though a number of projects and activities that include walking groups, exercise classes, cooking groups, children’s activities, social groups and lots more. You can find out more about our current activities at www.khl.org.uk

The Community Engagement and Activities Facilitator will be a real ‘people person’ facilitating a range of groups and also will be the ‘link’ between groups such as letting our Art Groups know about other KHL activities. The sessions you will be delivering will change from time to time but to give examples may include our social groups (Games Café/Outdoor Café), our walking groups and other educational type sessions such as cooking or crafts.

You will need to have a positive approach to your work, be confident talking to groups and be able to demonstrate an understanding and empathy to people who may be struggling with their wellbeing. In return we offer a supportive, flexible and hugely rewarding environment to work in. No two days will ever be the same. Most of the work will be delivered from our centre on Scott Street, but some will be from other centresand outdoor spaces across Keighley and Ilkley.
