Support Worker – Floating and Housing Support.

At NewStart we enable individuals to manage their own personal development and support plans to help them transition out of difficult circumstances and take control of their lives. We are looking for a Support Worker to join the NewStart team to provide floating and housing support across a number of supported and self-contained properties in Bradford and Shipley. This is a full time position, 35 hours per week, salary £22,242.00. Typically working Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, the service incorporates agile and flexible working arrangements. Benefits include 6 weeks Annual Leave, Travel Expenses and a Contributory Pension Scheme.

About you

  • You will have life experience, knowledge and understanding of individuals who are facing challenging circumstances, including ex-offenders, people with mental health issues, drug and/or alcohol and problems and their associated needs.
  • You are approachable, adaptable and have the ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
  • You are passionate about enabling people to improve their social and personal skills   and to use their talents and abilities to solve their own difficulties.
  • You will be an excellent listener who values people and is able to build effective working relationships based on transparency, trust and respect.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, and be able to develop and maintain strong partnership working.

This role requires a valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for business use
