Support Work – Evening Worker (part time)

We are recruiting an Evening Worker to join the Fairmount Lodge in Shipley, Bradford. The Evening Worker will work 16 hours per week on a permanent contract, salary £7,925 per annum. (£9.50 per hour). We offer great benefits including: 6 weeks annual leave plus statutory holidays, Contributory pension scheme

About You

We want someone passionate about enabling people to use their talents and abilities to solve their own difficulties. A person with an understanding of and/or experience of strength-based, person-led approaches to working alongside people. You will have a good understanding of the challenges that people experiencing homelessness, mental health issues and drug and alcohol use may face.

  • You will have good communication, report writing and ICT skills
  • You will be able to deliver flexible, person-led coaching to individuals experiencing a range of challenging circumstances.
  • You are approachable, adaptable and have the ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
  • You will be able to respond to emergencies as they arise including patrolling the premises to safeguard and maintain the building, reporting any issues appropriately.
  • Liaise with the police and other agencies as required to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. You will be able to develop and maintain strong partnership working.
  • You will undertake domestic housekeeping duties as required e.g. cleaning empty properties, ground maintenance and carry out minor repairs.

This role will require you to work flexible hours, which including working a 3-week rota, weekends, occasional bank holidays and religious festivals.
