Staying Put are part of Bradford Survive and Thrive, an exciting and innovative multi-agency partnership bringing together 3 organisations, Family Action, Staying Put and Women Centre, who are working together to develop a ‘one system approach’ to families affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Staying Put’s vision is to lead the way in quality service provision to victims of abuse and violence, to remove the barriers that prevent people from speaking out and seeking help.

Housing Officer 

Full time, 37.5 hrs Monday to Friday, Bradford based.

£28,000 - £29,000 based on experience.

We are looking for an experienced housing officer to be based within our refuges in Bradford and Keighley alongside our dispersed accommodation units across the district. Women only - ** Due to the nature of our refuges being for women only, we can only accept applications from women under schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010**

You will have a strong working knowledge of the current housing benefit system, managing and preventing void losses, tenancy management such as property turnarounds and repairs management as well as knowledge around health and safety legislation and processes.

This is a great opportunity to join a team of skilled accommodation IDVA’s who you will support with the day to day management of tenancies with line management responsibilities of a handyperson and 2 housekeepers based at refuges.

Prime objectives of post

  • To lead and support Staying Put’s Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence services housing management in refuge/dispersed accommodation services. 
  • To provide high quality and efficient customer focussed housing management services across Staying Put’s supported accommodation provision.
