£23,142 per Hour – Full Time – 35 Hours per Week

We are recruiting a Support Worker who will be responsible for managing a caseload, providing appropriate support based on the needs and risk assessment and support planning. You will also assist clients in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation and liaising with any other support network the client may have.
You will be expected to support and encourage clients to develop existing skills and gain confidence in order to move to permanent housing as soon as realistically possible.

You will have experience of working with young people or asylum seekers and their associated needs in a paid or voluntary role and an understanding of issues faced by people seeking asylum. You will have evidence of vocational training and/or professional development in relevant skills for the post (eg: mental health, welfare benefits, housing, drug & alcohol issues)
You will need excellent communication, time management and ICT skills and have experience of managing caseloads and records. Being able to remain calm and work effectively under pressure in isolated situations is also essential.
