Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a full time Housing Support Worker to help people recognise and achieve their best outcomes.

You will be responsible for assisting people in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation, providing flexible support to meet the individual’s needs around their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.  You will complete risk assessment based on the persons needs and support requirements and deliver tenancy ready training to enable people to move on to longer term housing.

You will have experience of working with people who may be experiencing a range of circumstances such as homelessness, ill health, a history of offending, mental health challenges, drugs and/or alcohol challenges. Your experience may have been gained through work experience in a paid or voluntary capacity or lived experience. You will have an understanding and/or experience of strength-based, trauma informed, person-led approaches to working with individuals.  You may have worked in an accommodation environment and have housing management and tenancy management experience.

Salary £22,660.00 per annum for full time, 35 hours. This role requires flexibility in working hours and will include regularly working, weekends and bank holidays.  You must hold a valid driving licence and own a vehicle, insured for business use.  An enhanced DBS check will be required.
