Apprentice Support Assistant - YPASS, Halifax

You will work 30 hours a week in this position, earning a salary that starts from £4.81 per hour. Among the benefits we offer are 7.6 weeks of annual leave, including statutory holidays, a contributory pension scheme, free parking and travel expenses.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to start a career in Health and Social Care. You will be trained to the highest standard and work as part of the team. You will oversee the referral and assessment module and support young people (aged 16-25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness via our Drop-in. You will assist support workers to provide a range of housing related support services to clients including independent living skills, access to other services including housing, training and education and health promotion. Apprentices will be encouraged and supported to apply for other positions towards the end of their apprenticeship.
About You
You will be approachable, friendly and non- judgmental and have the ability to work in a small team. You will need a good understanding of IT, eg Microsoft packages. A*- C in English and Maths or the equivalent level qualification is desired but not essential.
