Rents Administration Officer

This is a Full Time position, working 35 hours a week , a competitive salary of £20,600.00 per annum. You will work your hours between Monday to Friday. The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rents Administration Officer to join the team.   There are five members of the Rents Administration Team all of whom work in a hybrid manner within Central Services based in Chartford House, the team is responsible for

• Rent portfolio management – support to teams in all aspects of rents administration
• Verification of Housing Benefits documents
• Maintaining strong administrative support to schemes and upholding ethos and values of the Association
• Supporting services in their use of IT systems linked to rents accounting and voids management
• Utilising reporting functions from IT systems to feed into KPI reporting at schemes, Senior Management and Board level
• Maintaining close links with the Finance team for rent accounting

About you

You will maintain and operate procedures to minimise loss of rent from clients/statutory bodies (Housing Benefit).  You will perform a wide range of secretarial/clerical and associated duties for the team under the supervision of the Rents Administration Manager.  You will assist in the development and maintenance of efficient systems used throughout the organisation for administrative, monitoring and reporting purposes.   You will deliver a first class service to the people we work with (both internal and external) as the first point of contact.
