South Square Centre is currently on the lookout for new Trustees to join the Charity’s voluntary board of Directors.

South Square is an arts, heritage and community centre based in 12 interconnected workers cottages in the heart of Thornton’s Conservation area in Bradford. Recently the organisation has been through transformational development; securing a Community Asset Transfer from Bradford Council and undergoing a full capital refurbishment. The wider community has been integral to the success of the project. The centre has garnered support from schools, colleges, care homes, and local community groups as well as businesses and a range of funders including Arts Council England, National Lottery Heritage Fund and Bradford Council.

South Square is now in a strong position and excited to look to the future and be part of Bradford City of Culture in 2025. If you are interested in developing the organisation's strategy and ensuring South Square has the widest community benefit possible then please get in touch!

Skills

We would be particularly interested in hearing from people from the local area, people with experience in property development, heritage experience or NPO (National Portfolio Organisation) experience. However if you possess other skills you think would be beneficial do get in touch. We would like to attract applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences
