Advice & Casework Officer

Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2023 (May be extended subject to funding)

We are seeking an Advice and Casework Officer to support older people across Bradford District. You will have a passion for providing person centred approaches enabling people to have choice and control, maintain their independence and improve their wellbeing.

You will ensure that people are supported to understand the options available to them and provide advice on a variety of subject areas such as benefits, housing, health & social care, leisure & personal matters.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of welfare benefits and a commitment to excellent customer service.

This role will be home based and people seen by appointment either over the phone, in one of our Community Hubs or through home visits.

The post will require frequent travel and therefore a full driving license, appropriate insurance cover and use of a car is essential.

Pay band £20 - 24k FTE (£7,567 - £9,081) dependent on experience

14 hours per week

5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
