Housing Support Worker-Activity Co-ordinator

The STAY-in Millhaven team are seeking a Part Time Housing Support Worker to lead and co-ordinate activities in the service. To help people recognise and achieve their best outcomes.

You will co-ordinating activities in the service, for example cooking, gardening, baking etc. These activities will support and enhance people’s social and person development skills. You will encourage support and assist people with their confidence to enable them to make positive decision-making.  You will assist clients in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation and liaising with other support services.  You will ensure immediate needs are met, such as access to welfare benefits, food, clothing and health care.

You will have experience of working with people who may be experiencing a range of circumstances such as homelessness, ill health, a history of offending, poor mental health, drugs and/or alcohol challenges.  You may have worked in an accommodation environment and have experience of organising and supporting housing related activities.

You will work Monday, Friday and Saturday, 18 hours per week, Salary £11,653.71 per annum (£22,660.00 Full Time). This role requires flexibility in working hours, which includes some bank holidays. You must hold a valid driving licence and own a vehicle, insured for business use.  An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
