Housing Support Worker

The STAY-in Grattan service is seeking a full time Housing Support Worker to join their team on a fixed term contract, 35 hours per week, Salary £22,660.00.  You will be required to work weekends and some statutory holidays. We offer great benefits, which include 7.6 weeks annual leave including statutory holidays, contributory pension scheme, free car parking and travel expenses.

You will be responsible for assisting people in the practical and emotional aspects of maintaining their accommodation, providing flexible support to meet the individual’s needs around their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.  You will complete risk assessment based on the persons needs and support requirements and deliver tenancy ready training to enable people to move on to longer term housing. 

You will have experience of working with people who may be experiencing a range of circumstances such as homelessness, ill health, a history of offending, mental health challenges, drugs and/or alcohol challenges. Your experience may have been gained through work experience in a paid or voluntary capacity or lived experience.  You may have worked in an accommodation environment and have housing management and tenancy management experience.
