Who are we?
We are a group called; Black Asian and Minority Ethnic Voice (BAME).
We are part of the Learning Disability Partnership Board also called the LDPB
We want to give people from minority groups in Bradford and District a voice and a chance to make their lives better.
What we do?
We help people understand about people with a Learning disability from BAME background across Bradford and District.
We find out what things are important for people with Learning Disabilities we and ask the council, police, doctors and other people to listen to our problems and help us.
We want to let people with learning disabilities know about the help and support that they can have.
We want to make sure our voice is heard at the learning Disability Partnership Board. The reason we do this is so that people from a BAME background can live a better life.
We want to have a strong voice.
We want to do this by:
Getting people with learning disabilities involved.
Getting people to listen.
We want to make sure things get done.
We want a strong link with the Learning Disability Partnership Board.
We want to do this by having more people from a BAME background involved in different groups of the Learning Disability Partnership Board, so we can make more of a difference.
