Description:

At Brathay our mission is to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities.
We believe that young people learn best through experience, which we achieve through outdoor and creative activities that unlock their potential.
We work throughout the UK to inspire people and organisations to achieve and deliver results from our network of locations across the North of England including our inspiring Lake District base.

In Yorkshire and Humber we run programmes that include:
One-to-one support for individuals and families
Employability
Mental Health Support
Counselling and Talking Therapies
Youth and Community Projects
Environmental Citizenship

In Bradford district, as part of our involvement with Bradford Skillshouse Partnership we have a team of three professional community employment coaches working with young people up to the age of 24 to overcome their individual barriers to progression.

We have a fully-qualified and experienced counselling team in Bradford who are focused on improving the emotional and social wellbeing young people and children in real need. The service uses a mix of youth work and mental health practitioner support that includes one-to-one counselling.

Our services also include a Peer Mentoring Schools Programme that supports local schools to develop their own in-house peer mentoring programmes. We also work closely with Medical Needs Education Services supporting learners whose medical needs have prevented them from attending mainstream school for 15 days or more.
